Julie Melton retired from her career in elementary education which included teaching experiences in both public and private schools, as well as with her own children in homeschool. Most recently she served for many years at Front Range Christian School in Littleton, Colorado where she was co-founder, teacher, and elementary principal, and where she currently sits on the Board of Directors. Over the years she has enjoyed roles as a mentor mom with a group of mothers of preschoolers, as a volunteer with the Jefferson County Public Library’s Speakers’ Bureau, and as a court-appointed special advocate for neglected and abused children with CASA of Jeffco/Gilpin Counties.
She and her husband, Tom, enjoy golfing, traveling, and above all being grandparents. Over the years they have been blessed by sharing their home with local college students, foreign exchange students, and others in need of a place to temporarily call home. They love having their adult children and their families nearby and getting to spend time regularly with all of them. Julie is thrilled to be a part of the HOPE team!
